If you are paying someone else to raise, you'll want to visit the place the animal will be raised. All the parties involved need to get together and make a written agreement. Anyone who pays any money should get a receipt. The person raising the animal should also have the other party's agreement to pay half (or however much you decide) of the purchase price and part of any vet bills, should there be any, in writing. You should also decide upfront about any vaccinations, medications, so on and so forth. Some people go all natural and don't want vaccinations. So find out all this beforehand.

Good luck!
